I led a screen printing workshop for my Free Arts group on Monday, with the help of the illustrious screen master John Allen. We did shirts and posters - and while there were some hitches, it was a fun night. Here are some carefully taken pics of the Free Arts team getting their hands dirty. Awesome team, awesome kids.

Awesome Mentor Team.
We pre-shot our images, and had a couple spare screens from WAMdemonium. John also did a wax paper stencil for one screen. Free Arts is interested in getting a mobile screen operation up and running, so I wanted them to see how this could be done without exposing, on the cheap. |

We used Leftover inks, which did cause some problems with drying, but they were crazy colors, and usually just get dumped. The kids seemed to like the project - though I know I'll need to prep a bit better next time.
We're famous! Free Arts has been such an amazing experience. Please take a second to hit them up on their website, twitter, facebook, and their tumblr and blogspot pages to find out more or how to get involved. This guy can't recommend it enough.
