Classes At North Star Printmakers Studio!

Here's a whole bunch of pictures from the first few months of classes at North Star Printmakers Studio!  I designed curriculum, taught, supplied and promoted these classes starting in January of 2019.  It has been a total blast to engage the community this way.  It has raised awareness about the studio, and brought in some fantastic artists from all over the Metro. This story tells itself through images and press designs I did for each session.  It's been a big learning curve getting the word out, and a ton of work staying on top of social media formats and physical fliers and such, but when a class fills it is totally worth it!

Posters I designed and for a round of classes.

My friend and former teacher Michael Sommers of Open Eye Figure Theatre in
Minneapolis took my woodcut class and we had a lot of fun.

I had to do a lot of work to get the etching/relief area up to snuff for public use, which meant cleaning, freshening up ferric, sorting old solvents and inks, and procuring some needed tools and materials - all just to get the classes off the ground in a safe and accessible environment.

Yeah that's me.
Classes through the Summer will be documented in a future post.  Thanks for looking!
